| Hi,
I work with special needs children, preparing them for their Bar Mitzvahs ...do you have good video tapes and/ or books? (beyond Elaine Costello's Religious Signing book with detailed signs for prayers (I'm beyond the simple ones ...wanting help with the more complex...). thanks for your help. Ruth Anne Faust - ruthannef@attbi.com Shalom! My name is Nancy Levinson and I am a freshman at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. I am nineteen years old, Reform, and am studying to be an interpreter for the deaf. I just finished reading "Hear, or Sign, O Israel," the featured article in November 2002 issue of the Hadassh Magazine. I am searching for a summer job and my ideal job would be to work in a Jewish/sign language environment. I was hoping that you could steer me in the right direction and make a few suggestions to me. Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Nancy Levinson - Ievinson.n@neu.edu Hi, I need an interpreter to assist a deaf woman who has mild developmental disabilities. She participates in a Jewish Community Center activity group on Monday evenings (6:45-8:30pm) two times a month at the Jack Satter House in Revere, MA. Her current interpreter will be staying through March. I need someone to interpret in April, May, and June. Please let me know if you're interested. Call 617-558-6508. Thank you, Judy Pearl - jpearl@jccgb.org Hi, I was happy to find you article on a hero of mine - Legendary Hungarian Fencer, Ildiko
Rejto. On www.jdcc.org/l

Ujlaki. Hello, I am an aspiring interpreter and Jewish, living in South Carolina. I would like to interpret for Services when I become certified, and I was wondering if you could help me out with locating Deaf Services in my area. I live in northern South Carolina, near the North Carolina border. Do you know of any Deaf Jewish group in my area? Thanks for your help. Please respond to the following email: office@ourtemple.us Irene Barrett Dear All, I am a Jewish genetic counseling student at Cal State Northridge. I am currently doing my thesis which is based on the genetic counseling experiences of Jewish Deaf individuals. There is very little literature on this topic and I feel it is very important for the medical community. If anyone would like to participate in my research it only requires the participant to fill out a questionnaire or they can participate in an interview. Either way I will be grateful to anyone who is interested in my research. Sincerely, |
