Dear Readers,
This issue has been delayed as we wanted to include some information
from the High Holidays.
Hope you all had nice High Holidays and that you requested forgiveness
from those you may have hurt and can enter a healthy new year.
I have forgiven those who have hurt me whether it was done intentionally
or not. I am moving on after being in pain for several years with different
situations. We have now entered a new generation of my family and the past is past. We all have to move on for our children's sake. I may not
forget, but have forgiven those who have tried to create conflicts. If there is anyone that I have hurt, I ask for forgiveness. I only wish you all
the best of health and happiness.
I recently attended Yom Kippur service at Temple Beth Solomon for the
first time as it was held at a hotel which made it possible to sleep over night as I do not drive on High Holidays. It was nice seeing TBS members.
I was saddened there were NO children. When people inquired about JDCC's Yom Kippur service, I said, we are not having it this year and you
may want to join TBS, they commented "but what about childcare?" I said you would have to contact TBS to make your request. I realized the importance of childcare to enable parents to attend services. Children are our
next generation and it is important to consider accommodating them when you host events.
You can expect to see me at the next Jewish Deaf Congress's convention
in Las Vegas in July, 2003 so start making plans ... hope to see you all there!
