Full details regarding JDCC's High Holidays plan is announced on page 5. A big thank you to Eric Brody for taking on this big task of coordinating the Rosh Hashana service and I look forward to meeting some of you at the service!
August 24-25th marks the first Shabbaton held by the Los Angeles chapter of Our Way. It will take place at Bnai David Judea Congregation in my old neighborhood. Jason Moore, a hard of hearing teenager is chairing this event. Rabbi Eliezer Lederfeind from Our Way in New York City will attend the event. Glenn & Debbie Stelzer of New York will be "Couple in Residence". We hope to have a full report in the next issue of JDCC News.
JDCC celebrates its tenth anniversary next June. Would you be interested in helping with the preparations? A 10th anniversary Banquet Committee will be formed shortly. Please contact me at JDCCNews@aol.com if you are interested. Since we have not decided a June date yet, it would be helpful to know of any other events in June to avoid schedule conflicts. JDCC will have an exhibit booth at Deaf Expo 2001 coming up at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA on November 16th. Deaf Expo 2001 has changed the days to Friday and Saturday this year.
