Shalom! I am an Interpreter in the state of Idaho and would like to learn The Israel Sign Language. I went to Israel last year and met a deaf family and some deaf kids. I have taken Hebrew for almost 2 years. And plan to go back. I am in college to learn other languages. Any help I could get on where to buy books or videos would be very much appreciated. Toda Roba

My name is Dara Hauptman and I recently attended the wonderful play "Oliver" performed at Deaf West Theatre. I am currently a student at CSUN and have just finished my sophomore year. I am a deaf studies major and learning sign language. I saw your ad in the program for the play and would love some more information. Thank you so much.

I would be interested in hearing from any of the members of the Hebrew Association of the Deaf in Philadelphia. My parents were members for many years and possibly even since its founding. I would love to hear some news about the group and its members.

Hi, I am currently living in West Hartford CT. I am planning on moving to Israel within the next two months and I am looking for work or volunteering with the Deaf community. If anyone has any contacts I would greatly appreciate them. Thank you for your time and help.

Hello, I have worked and studied with the deaf all of my 66 years. The deaf are very courageous and are to be commended. Like the minorities they have had their share of hardships. I would love to hear from any who are deaf.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the fine article on my brother, Bob Stein in the July/August issue. Bob had passed away on July 9th. It was great seeing his hard work and dedication being recognized by the deaf community. He is missed by his family and I will cherished this article knowing he had been proud of his accomplishments and his family. Thank you,

Eric Stein
