JDCC's 6th Annual Chanukah
party was held on a beautiful sunny day, it was 80 degrees outdoors even though it was on
December 28th, 1997! It was a nice party. DJ Kurs of Riverside, CA won the Chanukah Trivia
Game and the exchange of gifts was a lot of fun!
JDCC is concerned about some people who may want to
attend a JDCC event but their finances may not permit their participation. The JDCC Board
encourages you to contact us whenever you face this situation. No questions will be asked
if you claim that finances are tight at that time and if you are still uncomfortable about
this situation, you can always send a contribution at a later time when finances allow and
your contribution will also be used to help make it possible for someone else to attend a
JDCC event. Another way also can be to offer to assist with planning or coordination of a
future JDCC event.
As you know, Judaism is all about helping each other and we do not want
anyone to miss an event just because they cannot afford the cost.
We have received numerous calls from organizations asking for
assistance in getting a Jewish interpreter or Rabbis that can sign. We are here to serve
the Jewish Deaf Community and assist in any way we can whether it be a bris, naming
ceremony, bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, funeral, and unveiling services. Please do not
hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns, questions about Judaism or getting
assistance in finding an appropriate person.
What are you doing for Passover? Anything special, share it with us!
